I just purchased a used laptop at an auction and it boots up with linux and asks for a password to log in. I don't have a password. Can anyone help me delete linux and reformat the drive to install (uugghh) windows? Hey, my daughter needed a laptop.

just install win2k and when you get to creating partitions
just delete the current partitions listed and create new ones

Xp Professional will do the same thing if you prefer to use that to 2k
