Full Version: Up2date + Kernel Question
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
Is there a way to toss in SMP on a kernel when using up2date to install it? Im using RHE ES, and I have a Dual Xeon w/ HT server. Right now, it only see's one since I updated to the new kernel. Pior it saw 4. ( 2 Real, 2 virutal naturally )

Any ideas? I really dont wanna roll back to the old/insecure kernel it came installed with.

root@ns1 [/]# uname -a
Linux local 2.4.21-15.0.4.EL #1 Sat Jul 31 01:33:50 EDT 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
root@ns1 [/]#

thats the new kernel.

Thanks in advance.

Found it buried in some docs...

up2date -uf kernel-smp biggrin.gif tongue.gif blink.gif

Maybe this can help someone who has the same problem later.
