when accessing the cdrom drive form Linux Mandrake 9 (server) i find that i recieve input output errors i was told that when mandrake 9 was bought out that a few days to a week after there was a patch to fix this if this is true any one know where i can get it from or know the porblem and can give me a solution ?

have you tried the mandrake website for patches, fixes...etc

I have had a look on the mandrake website but could not find ne downloads other than the OS and or Security patches

Ne suggestions ?

does this happen with any cd you put in the drive?

So it seems i just cannot access them :S
