Well, I've just decided to finally making the switch to linux after not doing so for a very long time mainly because of games, but thats besides the topic, basically I'm new and figure you guys could help....

I've installed mandrake 10.0 and everything is fine except I have no clue on how to set up my second monitor to work without the nvidia software (I'm hoping theres something out there someone knows about)

I've got a fairly old geforce 64 mb mx 4000-64twin dual vga card and alli really want is to get my second monitor set up.

I've tried looking around the hardware config but havent found anything that would enable the second monitor.

Any help is greatly appreciated. biggrin.gif

I tried to help JIM setup dual monitors without using the NVIDIA drivers ... but it didn't work.

He (Jim) did get the second monitor working with the nvidia driver and twinview.

So, the first thing to do is get the latest nvidia driver working from here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display...32_1.0-6111.htm

Instructions:
ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x...6111/README.txt
