Dear Experts!

I have just installed Mandrake Linux 10. But I have a very weird problem, will be grateful if someone could help!

The problem is that most of the sites on the internet are dns resolving and opening perfectly, but for some strange reason SOME websites are not opening, the only two I currently know of are:

When i open www.hotmail.com the webpage opens as normal but when i enter the login / pass information and click on 'Sign In' i get the following error:

"loginnet.passport.com could not be found, Please check the name and try again"

Similarly
"www.mandrakeonline.net could not be found, Please check the name and try again
Ironically all other mandrake pages open perfectly..one proof of that is THIS very post of mine at the www.mandrakeexpert.com domain
Because of this Mandrake Update is also not working (DNS problem)

I am behind a LAN (which runs Windows 2000 Advanced Server running Microsoft ISA SERVER 2000 as proxy/cache)
I can see all SMB shares on the network and browse/download all other pages 'normally' .. please anonyone help with this

I even changed my DNS SERVERS .. set one to a free public DNS and another to Microsoft's DNS Server that handles loginnet.passport.com but still no use!

take care guyz

I doubt that the problem is that you can't lookup the name ... do this:

nslookup

then type the names of the sites in question...and see if you can resolve the names.
