If you compiled licq from source, then you need to go into the 'plugins' directory in the source tree and compile the QT plugin.

If you installed via a binary package, then perhaps your distributions provides the GUI as a seperate package (this is pretty common), so depending on what distribution you are running, installing the GUI can be done in several ways.

To see if it is already installed, then run the following:

licq -p qt-gui

This will look in the default licq plugin directory for the qt plugin and load it. You need only do this once, licq will store your choice in the config file and use this as the default from now on.

If this doesn't work for you, then please reply with your distribution, and the method you used to install licq to begin with.
