I downloaded the Helix player from https://player.helixcommunity.org/ and I did it from the shell console. Once the file is downloaded I don't know what to type to "unzip" it (if that is correct). and then what to type to install it. I did it as a root user. Help. Thanks from the new guy.

Which distro are you using?

If it is mandrake 9.0/9.1/9.2/10 or FedoraCore 1/2 (or RedHat 9), thne download the RPM labeled as note 2 .... this one:

CODE
wget https://helixcommunity.org/download.php/471/HelixPlayer-0.4.0.187-20040615.i586.rpm

Once you have it downloaded, issue the command:

rpm -Uvh HelixPlayer-0.4.0.187-20040615.i586.rpm

It should install the HelixPlayer.
