Hi

I was thinking about buying a car. Can you tell me whcih to get?

is that a pentium 2 .... with 1gb of ram ... and what is the processor speed.

For most older machines, I recommend Damn Small Linux.

But with 1gb RAM, you can install just about any version.

Sorry I wasn't clear, it is a pentium 1, with 24 megs ram, and 1 gig of memory.

That is 1gb of hard drive space and 24mb ram ... if so, debian 3.0 with fluxbox, or maybe DSL with fluxbox would be the only distros that i would try.

That box doesn't meet the requirements for any new distro with GUI (needs at least 128mb RAM ... and most new distros require at least 3gb hard drive for a workstation install and gui).
