I did get my debian linux 3.0 installed with the swap file, but whenever I log in it says that I have mail. If I type "mail", I get "N 1 root@debian Sun Jul 11 03:31 162/9401 Anacron job 'cron.monthly" &". I have tried to find the right command to read this mail and can find nothing, so I have not gotten past the initial boot. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find where I can find mail commands? Thanks.

use the number of the message ...

all the basic mail commands (for mail) can be found here ... or on your system by typing the command:

man mail
