I have a USB printer from dell that only has windows drivers for it, to be able to use it in linux should i set up a print server on another box or should i get something like VMware (that is saying if VMware will be able to do it)

What is the Distro of Linux you are using and the printer Make/model from Dell.

There might be a Linux driver for it somewhere.

Printer = DELL AIO A940

I looked for a driver for both the Lexmark X5150 and the Dell A940 ... can't find either. Dell is usually very good with Linux drivers ... so there must be an issue with the printer design.

I would say that the only way you are going to print to that printer from Linux is via a Samba share to a seperatly running Windows Machine.
