Problem 1 :

I've got a Whitebox Linux here and another Whitebox linux there [the two are connected with wireless bridge units], copiing is ok, speed is good, but when I try to use Midnight Commanders Shell Link, it copies the file to 99% and then it says connection lost to the network, any ideas how to solve this?

Question :

Is there a possibility to somehow create a local windows update server for Win98Se,WinXP Pro,Win2000 with a linux computer ?

1. I use a product called Update Expert by St. Bernard Software to do all my Windows upgrades. This product doesn't work with Linux though.

You can also use the corporate section of Windows Update to download updates once, then install them manually to each workstation.

You can also download each update from technet once then apply them to many machines.

2. Not sure why mc isn't working for you. I use a manual sftp usually.
