Full Version: Printing To Parallel Port
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support

When printing to parallel port printer the following often displays on the console.

parport0: detected irq 7; use procfs to enable interrupt-driven operation

Anyone know why and how to fix?

I need to stop the display because it corrupts the screen of the console user.

Running Red Hat Linux v7.

From what I've read on this line from dmesg, it's not anything to be worried about. If you're printer is working, then everything should be fine. If you would like more information on this, you can check out the parport.txt in your kernel's Documentation directory, or online here.
