Hi,

I just installed Fedora on my HP LAPTOP, It has the NIC card: Xircom Cardbus Ethernet 100.
It connnect to Dlink wireless router DI-614+ thought Land Port. The ISP is Yahoo SBC DSL

(and another Land Port has a Windows XP machine connected.

Windows IP Configuration:

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.100
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
)

Can anybody tell me how to confige so that I can access Internet?

Thanks!

Does Fedora see the Xircom network card.

Boot with the network connected ... what does the terminal command:

ifconfig

I am using a Xircom Cardbus Ethernet 100 on 2 laptops with Whitebox Linux and Debain and it was found on both...

I booted with the network connected, And ifconfig gave:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet ...
inet addr:192.168.0.101 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 mETRIC:1
RX packages:12 errors:0 dropped:0
...
Interrup:10 Base address:0x4000

lo
...

And I can ping 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.0.101, but failed pinging 192.168.0.100 (another windows xp machine also connected in local network), neither can it ping gateway 192.168.0.1.

When I use command dmesg | grep etho, the result is:
divert: allocating divert_blk for eth0
eth0: Xircom cardbus revision 3 at irq 10
Xircom cardbus adaptor found, registering as eth0, using irq 10

what is the output of the command:

route -n

on the linux machine.

route -n :

Thanks a lot for helping

That is the correct gateway ... is it erh0 or eth0

If it is eth0 ....

You should be able to ping any other PC on the 192.168.0.x network....
yhu511
It is "eth0". I typed the result wrong in my windows machine. (My linux box hasn't had Internet connection, yet)

And when I ping 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.100, it still say that "...Destination Host Unreachable".

I also found that when system boots up,

it shows message:

QUOTE
start service eth0:
Bringing up interface eth0: xircom_cb device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
    [FAILED]

Is it possible that the driver has some problem? If so, what should I do now?

Thanks a lot.
