Hi All,

In very new to linux and have ran across a few problems, and i have searched on the internet for a couple of days now, so I am now tring to find my answers on some forums.

problem 1: floppy will not mount. Iv checked the /ect/fstab folder and there are no entry for a floppy. What do i need to do here?

problem 2: I have a HP psc 2210 printer and i cant get it to work, either I have the hpoj driver for the all in one printers but i can not figure out how to confige the printer with the driver.

Iv have gotten everything else running in linux. this is very confusing to me.
Also im running Suse 8.1

Thanks to all who post.

are you trying to mount the floppy as root, or a regular user?

you usually can only mount the floppy as root..but you can

change it..

are you sure the printer is compatible with suse...

have you tried using a generic driver for it for testing?

before actually posting...i checked the suse site
and did not find your printer listed as being compatible.

im running redhat so im not sure
