I have a Toshiba Tecra 8200 running Debian with a 2.6.3 kernel. Toshiba's BIOS does not provide for a way to setup devices on individual IRQs. As a result, my sound cuts out, or I lose my connection to streaming audio, when I scroll with my wheel mouse. My sound card, video card and network card are all sharing IRQ 11, as set by the BIOS. If I set the BIOS to Plug and Play OS, the system hangs trying to load the devices, giving me a message that no IRQ was assigned to the device. Where do I manually assign the PCI PnP IRQs?
