This is my .htaccess file:

AuthName "secret area"
AuthType Basic
AuthGroupFile "/dev/null"
AuthMySQLCryptedPasswords Off
AuthMySQLHost "host123"
AuthMySQLDB "db123"
AuthMySQLUserTable "user_auth"
AuthMySQLUser "user123"
AuthMySQLPassword "pass123"
AuthMySQLNameField "user_name"
AuthMySQLPasswordField "user_passwd"
AuthMySQLAuthoritative On

<Limit GET PUT>
order allow,deny
allow from all
require valid-user
</Limit>

Now.. Why an "Internal Server Error" error? I have created the tables:

CREATE TABLE user_auth (
user_name CHAR(30) NOT NULL,
user_passwd CHAR(20) NOT NULL,
user_group CHAR(10),
PRIMARY KEY (user_name)
);

in my database. Still it doesn't work.

What can be wrong? smile.gif

Sorry then... smile.gif

I'm sorry but I'm pretty new to MySQL myself, so you'll need to wait till someone comes online with more experience in MySQL
