I am needing to boot my linux partition, however do not have a boot disk. Is this possible from the cdrom installation disk? I don't want to reinstall, I just want to boot the partition so I can reinstall LILO.
If this is not possible from cdrom, what is a good way to accomplish what I am wanting to do?

Hi,
I think that when you put in the boot disk there is a possibilty to customise Lilo, or Grub, what distro are you using?

Hi,
just tried it out...
I did it with Fedora, but Red Hat can do it to, and I think Mandrake as well , including whitebox...and probably other distros to [sorry I only got these 4]
just boot with the first cd of you're distro
select the Rescue mode
and then type : linux rescue
and answer the questions...
Sincerely
Robert B
