Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
Ok. Im trying to watch some of the streaming video on In windows the popup player uses Windows Media Player. When you click on it in Mozilla it comes up with something to do with an X-Mplayer2 plugin or player? Where can I get this from?
Also. The files which are streaming are obviously not downloadable. I would like a recorder to record them to sound files. If someone could suggest a decent recorder(probably just a recorder to record all soun out of the sound card)I would also be very grateful.

remind me agian what is your Distro and how what program do you use to get upgrades?
I downloaded this Xmplayer2 using apt-get. I also installed a patch for Mozilla to allow streaming audio/video in MIME format. However, the videos STILL dont work and furthermore, some links you clikc on in Mozilla close the browser completely!!! Bloody annoying!!!
Any ideas?
The crashing browser is most likely caused by your java plug in ... I would install the lastest JRE from blackdown (you need the 3.2gcc version bin file)

The best plugin for Audio-video is Plugger-5.0.

I downloaded that black java thingie but still crashes...what can I do ?

And do you know of a fast Marcromedia Flash Player Plugin?, Since the one I've got is kinda slow, and the music is like slow motion...

I've got this Fedora Core1 Mozilla 1.6
