I am setting up a Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES web server / dns server / gateway (trying to switch from Windows to Linux). My question is how do I control the bandwidth usage through one of the NICs (let me explain)?

I provide a web server and internet access for a few people that reside in my building, the server is connected to high speed DSL and the server has multiple NICs (3) one for outside, one for LAN 1 and the other for LAN 2. What I need to do is simply control the access speed for LAN 2 and not allow full speed but not limit LAN 1 or the gatway itself, does RH support this function?

I haven't ever used this, but it is supposed to be able to limit traffic:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/htbinit/

Here is another script....

I don't know anything about either of these scripts....
