Full Version: Compile Says Its Missing Crap, Its Not
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
I have a growing problem with my new install, and the one before that. I downloaded Demarc network monitor and started to compile it it says its missing perl, i have perl i know i do. so i download perl and try to compile that, it says im missing lib files, i know i have those. It seems that syslinks never linked the files during setup, so when i run ./configure it doesn't locate, even tho i have them, the files its looking for. Does anybody know of a good site or guide that helps relink a broken file system or what ever you would call my problem blink.gif

You should download apt-get the rpm file for you're distro,

From console :

apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

And to download a aplication :

type in console

apt-get install [aplication name here] [for example apt-get install xine]
