I am trying to install the Dynip client on SuSE Linux 9.0. When I run the configuration it starts the build but gives me the error that "make" is not a recognized command. The command runs within the configure file so what can I do?

Check first to see if you actually do have make installed.

make -v

Also do a check on your RPM repository to see if it's installed:

rpm -qa | grep make

If it's not installed then fire up YaST2 and go into the software installation section (i don't recall the actual name). Do a search for "automake", and mark it for install. As well, if you're going to be compiling source programs, you may want to make sure that the following packages are also installed:

automake
autoconf
m4
gcc

Thanks for your help! You were right. I didn't have any of these packages installed. I also had to install gcc (a C compiler). Everything went smoothly. I just have to set it up now.
