Hi,

I have just installed the latest quickcam.o driver for my Quickcam Express webcam and want to have it loaded automatically at boot up. I seem to not be able to find any definitive information about where to place the

CODE
modprobe quickcam.o

command.

I suspect that I should place it in /etc/rc.local. Would this be correct ?

I am running RedHat 2.4.20-8.

Thanks in advance.

That will work (but you don't need the .o and use the full path to modprobe like this:
CODE
/sbin/modprobe quickcam

To make sure of the location of modprobe, as root type this command:

which modprobe

Thanks. I will give it a try.
