I am having troubles installing VMWare on my computer. I am currently running Slackware 9.0. When i run the install program i come to the question:
CODE
What is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d/ to rc6.d/)?

the documentaition just says to use the defaults for this, but, obviously, there is no default responce in this question. Does anyone know the correct answer? Thanks.

This is one of the things that is different between slackware and almost all other versions of linux (and System V type UNIX's) ... they don't use rcx.d directories for startup or shutdown ... see this page for a way to get vmware to run on slackware.
