Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
So windows crashed on me, big suprise and I had to re-install it. The problem is that since windows is a mean unfriendly never learned to share program it just asumes that you want to boot to it, so it wrote over my Lilo.

How do I get Lilo back without re-installing linux?

Come back Lilo, come back Lilo's sister!!!

You are using Mandrake 9.2, right?

If so, Boot from your Mandrake install disk, press F1 (for more options) at the initial window and type:

linux rescue

You will get a menu, one selection in the menu is:

Re-install Boot Loader

Pick that an it should work....
I should really wish I had more time to play around with things because I am sure I could have figuered that out, now I just feel dumb.

You can also edit the boot order form the boot.ini file in Windows.
