I've just formatted my HDD and I wanted to also delete over the linux boot sector. But after I formatted the HDD and rebooted my computer, Lilo has remained in the boot sector, and i want to get rid of it.

Any help appreciated.

Boot with a windows 98 disk that has a windows version fdisk and type:

fdisk /fixmbr

or

Boot to a WinXP CD and enter the Recovery Console and use the fixmbr command.

Cheers, if it doesn't work i'll write back.

BTW, anyone know a solid release date on Halo 2 on XBOX or is it still Fall 2004?

Currently 4th Quarter 2004 for Halo 2 ... and I saw on OSNews.com that at about that time (or maybe early fall) the price for the XBox will be lowered to $99.00

Are you sure, I've heard, from Microsoft AND Bungie that the game will be due maybe end of 1st Quarter, to the beginning of 2nd Quarter, which is the beginning of April.

Got a release date on Half Life 2, i think it may be the end of 2004

Oh yeah, heard of Sandown???

I have heard rumors of a sooner release for Halo 2 as well ... but I'm pretty sure the official release date is still 4th QTR 2004.
