/dev/hdd1: |===================== - 37.5%

Heres some info:

Couple questions:
1) Is it a dual boot sytem, if so what boot loader are you using.
2) Are you using Samba or loading your linux drives into windows?
3) its freezing at 37.5% I take it.
4) Can you mount the drive when doing a rescue boot?

Ok, hughesjr should be able to answer your question better he checks the forum at least daily. We will get your quesiont answered. Just relax.

I can acess my hd0 (or is it hd1) from linux ( NTFS ) but i cant acess my linux drive (ext1 or ext2 or sumthin) fro windows.

3) yeh, it freezes there and dosent move, i went on my other computer, got somehting eat and came back and it didnt move, so i knew it was frozen
4) never tried, and i dont know what/how is a resuue boot, and dont kno how thatll help my normal boot up

Not cleanly unmounted means that something happened on shutdown of the drive ... powered off without a proper shutdown, a hung process that caused the drive not to be able to be unmounted, etc.

Do you know what type of file system it is? (ReiserFS, ext2, ext3, etc.)

hdd1 is the first partition of the secondary slave drive ....

Try booting from the Mandrake CD-1 .... press esc and at the command prompt type:

linux rescue

when asked, exit to the console (without mounting your system)...

if you have either ext2 or ext3, at the root prompt type:

e2fsck -f -v /dev/hdd1
