Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
Alright, im just about ready to completely convert to linux (mandrake 9.2 unless theres another i ought to look at), but i only have a couple questions that need answering.

1) In order to run windows program, i found that you need wine, but i also found winex (for games and stuff), which is what?

2) Where should I look to get my creative nomad jukebox working?

3) I have an ati tv wonder card that i use so i can play my xbox on the computer and record tv shows, where can i find software to enable me to do this?

4) My lexmark z65 printer, any ideas?

5) I use a logitech elite keyboard, is it possible to enable all of the special buttons? (like volume, mute, email, etc.)

I think thats it. I want to use the system as mostly a home desktop to do the usual functions as well as casual php programming (i found quanta is best here)

Thanks a bunch!
Wine can run most windows programs, but not all, and not all perfectly, don't expect any miracles with Doom 3 runing on you're linux box [or Half Life 2].

The main difference is between wine and winex is :

wine is free, while winex is commercial, winex is optimized directly for directx gaming, and you have a higher chance of runing games with it , but offcourse it's not free. to search for stuff
try mirc #linuxnewbie , #linuxhelp or something else

The printer should be no problem at all.
