I would like to be able to monitor a POP3 mailbox for new mail. When that new mail arrives, i would like a different message sent to another POP3 mailbox as notification....

1. Customer sends order to 'sales@mycompany.com'
2. Monitor notices new mail and sends mail to 'salesman@yahoo.com' saying that a new order has been placed.

I do not want to forward the entire order email directly to the sales email address.

Does anyone have a direction on this one? I have not been able to find anything that will do this for me.

It runs from the console and is highly configurable. What you can do is, configure it to look for new mail on "sales@mycompany.com" and when new mail is received, execute a shell script that will send you a custom email message to wherever you want with what you want it to say ...
