Full Version: Use Linux To Help A Hacked Windows Server?
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
I have been trying to help my brother who's Windows server got hacked. They left an FTP port open and someone came along and put a whole bunch of illegal files on the server. These files are in directorys without names. This is an NTFS partition.

Windows can not access or delete directorys without names.

We have tried Microsofts RM.EVE and ZAP.EXE neather have worked. Safemode, dos boot disks, deleting root directorys have not worked. He has tried everything, from a Windows stand point.

I was wondering if there is a way he could use Linux to fix this problem??

Can you FTP into the server as an administrator and delete from a Linux box?
