First of all, i'm a linux newbie, and need someone to answer some questions for me. First, can anyone tell me what a beowulf cluster is? is it like high performance computing or something else? Also does anyone know what the mandrake clic clustering software is? I know what it is, but can b beowulf do that? I need help!!!!

Both are high performance clustering software packages.

What software do you want to run with the cluster?

It isn't that you install some software and now 5 computers act as one ... instead, you must write your software specifically to use a cluster (or get software written to use a cluster).
