Installed Redhat 8 on my Optiplex with crystal audio 4237b on board.
Boots w/o any errors, but no sound.
Hardware browser shows three devices.
An error message appears on shutdown for the mixer device.
What steps do I take to correct this?
I have not been able to find/run the sndconfig utility.

Try the Alsa sound project =) SuSE uses that as an alternate setup tool if all else fails ...
