I'm using Mandrake 9.1, XF86 4.3 and KDE

Here's what I get after I try to install the rpm ATI driver:

*** WARNING ***
Tailored kernel module for fglrx not present in your system.
You must go to /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod subdir
and execute './make.sh' to build a fully customed kernel module.
Afterwards go to /lib/modules/fglrx and run'./make-install.sh'
in order to install the module into your kernel's module repository.
...
Failed.
*** Error: no kernel module build environment - please consult readme.
Installed: qt3 (gcc 3.2) based control panel application
===
ATI display drivers successfully installed
Please run 'fglrxconfig' now

I tried the first thing it said "go to /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod subdir
and execute './make.sh'"
, but I got this error:

Kernel includes at /usr/src/linux/include not found or incomplete
file: /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h

I don't know what's wrong here, but I bet it's something not even that difficult huh.gif

Can anyone help?

Check out this thread on our board....and this thread at linuxquestions.org.

I didn't see this when I searched for "Radeon" since the guy only called it ATI 9500.
I guess I should have searched for "ATI"

Thanks a lot biggrin.gif
