Hello all! I've got an e-mail server running Red Hat 7.0 that was just subject to some power problems and went down suddenly. We fixed the power and brought it back up, and on boot it detected a problem in the file system during the boot sequence where it lists the system functions and the green "OK" or the red "FAILED". It tried to run a system check (where the little "progress bar" scrolls across the screen but then stops and says the root file system has an unexpected error and we'll have to run fsck manually. It provides an error message that there is an "unattached inode 22090" and then asks for the root password to do maintenance. This boots to a shell, but no running of fsck or e2fsck seems to repair the problem. Am I missing something?
Thanks!
Roger
