i m using RedHat Linux 9.0
i've 2 interfaces for sharing internet
eth0 is connected with internet
and eth1 is connected with my LAN
for last few days i m getting a msg
eth1: Too much work at interrupt, status 0x01
what does it mean ?
still it didn't do any harm to me.......but i m worried

The message means that the IRQ has to much going on and some things are not getting done...
It could be caused because there is to much packet filtering / traffic ... it could be that there is another device sharing that IRQ (like a soundcard).
Have you added any hardware lately?
If it only happens a couple times a day at peak netowrk usage, it is probably ok.

i think itz because of too much packet filtering . cause 130 windows machine is connected in my LAN. and i got this msg only at peak hours.
