Well i am new to linux and networks , i just need some help regarding un-necessary tarffic generated by one of our network linux server, can any one please tell me it's solution.

...Actually, you will need to be way more specific to get any real help. Info like:

What are you using to see the traffic?

Is the traffic all the time or only at certian intervals?

What kind of traffic is it (tcp/udp, what is the source/destination addresses/ports, etc.)?

What distro and version of Linux are you using?

What is the make/model of the Network Card?

What is the module that you are using for that netowrk card?

What kernel are you booting?

If you need a packet sniffer, use ethereal (install ethereal and gnome-ethereal).
