Hello All!

I am brand new to Linux. I am using redhat 8.0 and have installed an engineering application program. The program keeps crashing (no error messages or anything, the display wigs out and then the machine freezes). Is there anyway in Linux to determine what the problem is and how to fix it? My colleages only idea is to re-install redhat. I have done this several times, and the fix is only temporary. Any help with the underlying problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

Are there any core files being generated after the crash?

The only thing I can suggest is to go back to the programmers who created the enineering program and find out if they've heard of similar problems and if they know of any incompatabilities with Red Hat Linux 8.0 and the software that comes with it.

I did notice the following when then application program was loading:

** WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libbluecurve.so",

** WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libbluecurve.so",

Does this shed any more light on the matter?
