I have tried everything that I can think of to get httpd started. Any ideas?
Corey
Well, when you go to start it, what does it say? Can you give us some error messages? The output on your errors.log file?
syacko
Service httpd Start reports OK
Service httpd Status reports httpd dead but subsys locked
error_log reports that port 443 already being used but there is no other httpd service runing
I have no other web server on this system.

RedHat 7.1 with Apache 1.3

I have removed the pid and locks with no effect.

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Hi,
Thanks all for ideas - I found the issue - The hard drive was in the process of melt down. So, to answer your question, nothing because the system is dead. Working on a rebuilt as we speak.

Thanks,
Scott
