Goal:

ADSL server to share broadband. Ideally should be able to:

- run from CD or HD
- Alcatel USB support straight away for my convienience
- be able to shape traffic so that if one person starts a big download everyone else isn't cut off, such as this does ->

bandwidtharbitrator.com

If not, the config files I'd need to use to have htb, prio or whatever act in an arbitrating way.

- CD drive isn't bootable so need a boot floppy too

Equipment:

- Alcatel Speedtouch USB
- p90,32mb ram (because quiet)
- 100mb cards and hub (switch actually)
- IDE cdrom that can't boot from BIOS
- PCI USB card
- floppy for boot / config storage
- possibly HD if really needed (makes noise)

Thanks for any recommendations
