Hi,
I would like to find out how can I mount a Fat32, NTFS Partitions or an USB Pen Drive as Read/Write.

I'm trying to use Knoppix as a recovery tool for Win9x, 2K & XP machines.

Thank You

Can't mount ntfs partitions as read/write SAFELY...

I don't know how to mount a pen drive....

For fat32 ... use do this (in a root terminal shell):

1. create a directory under the /mnt directory to mount into ... I use /mnt/dos ... so the command would be:
mkdir /mnt/dos
2. as root, run this command (substitute your partition for hda1 ... if it is the 2nd partiton on the primary slave drive it will be hdb2, etc.)
mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos
3. Change directories into the mounted partiton ...
cd /mnt/dos

If you want to try to write to NTFS ... I wouldn't do it, but it is possible ... the command is:

mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos
