Ok, I'll make this brief. I have Red hat 9.0 installed with nothing changed. I'm very new to this, so I tried using the printer wizard to set up my Compaq IJ1200 inkjet printer. It said it was successful, but nothing printed. This printer is connected to my parallel port. Am I doing something wrong? Can anybody help me??? Thanks.

what version of foomatic do you have installed ... do the command:

rpm -qa | grep foomatic

you should see results similar to this:

foomatic-2.0.2-15.1
Omni-foomatic-0.7.2-4

I know that foomatic-2.0.2-15.1 has a driver for the Compaq-IJ1200 ... it is at the following location:

/usr/share/foomatic/db/source/printer/Compaq-IJ1200.xml
