Hello Im running the newest version of slack with KDE I dont get sound, i did find teh drivers for my sound card but it wont work, the instructions say to delet teh current drivers for the device but im kind of a noobie and have no clue how its Rockwell pci riptide sound card. If Any one can give me some insight into how to delete the drivers so these new ones can take there place i would be very thankfull

I don't have slackware ... but the command lsmod will tell you what modules you have installed ....
You probably don't have any sound modules loaded.
Also look at the file /etc/modules.conf .... it will say something like this:
alias sound-slot-0 module_name
If you are loading a module for sound, just put a # in front of that line in the /etc/modules.conf file to remark out that line and restart the PC.
