Full Version: Linux 9 Installation Help
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
When I'm done with the install and the computer is about to reboot I get a screenfull of

"fatal region error detected; run recovery"

I assume that means run the rescue utility off the first cd, but when I do that it just re-installs the software and I get the same error at the end. Has anyone else had this problem before?
What distribution are you trying to install? What did you set for the region?
Im trying to install red hat 9. What do you mean region?
It asks you for the region, US, canada, etc.
Oh, I look dumb now. The region is the U.S. I just downloaded Linux 7.2 and it works fine on my machine, a little slow though. I think my video card is to wimpy for Red Hat 9, it only has 16MB of ram, but if you know any way I could get Linux 9 going I would appreciate it greatly.
