Full Version: Network Card Problem

When i copied a large amount of files to the samba server ( Redhat 9 ) the console displays the following console

eth0: Too much work at Interrupt! IntrStatus=0x0040
i8263! count too high! resetting.....

How can i Get rid of this message?
What is the problem does this message mean?

If it happens only under a major heavy demand on the network, then it isn't a major problem ... there is a built in feature that prevents any one interrupt from taking all the CPU time.

If it happens frequently then there is a driver problem....but there isn't really anything that an end user can do to fix it (except make sure you are running the correct modules/drivers for your installed equipment).
