I have a computer that I recently installed (being the geek I am) SuSE 8.0 Linux on. Still wanting to use Windows for some projects and things, I was hoping to use a dual-boot machine, and LILO (SuSE's boot manager) seemed to install flawlessly and work fine until I tried to run Windows Me. During start-up LILO comes up with options to run Windows or Linux, but when I attempt to start windows, it simply comes up with an "Invalid system disk error: remove and strike any key when ready" message. I have found no way around it and have been unable to find documentation on my problem on my own. Any help would be appreciated.

What drive setup do you have?
e.g.

Primary Controller
Master drive: Linux
Slave drive: Windows

Secondary

etc...

I have Windows Me on the master drive (an old 8GB IBM DHEA) and a small partition for Windows on the secondary drive (40GB WD) with the rest of the secondary drive being dedicated to Linux.

Make sure that in lilo.conf it is specified as

other=/dev/hda1
table=/dev/hda
label=windows
