Full Version: Pcmcia Boot Problem Not Solvable From Bios

Hello!

I recently purchased an HP Pavilion ze4400 laptop computer and decided it's Linux time... I've got several problems though (so I'll probably be posting a lot, lol), but I'll start with one and go one at a time.

Mandrake 9 hangs when it tries to start up the pcmcia module during boot time. I had clear out the partition and reinstall Mandrake in expert mode to disabled the pcmcia start up at boot time.

I tried to do some research on the net and some people suggest the problem is a BIOS configuration, though all I see in my BIOS is the standard mouse and legacy usb options. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Is it happening with or without cards in the PCMCIA slots ... and does it work if you remove all cards?
