i get this error upon attempting to install software. I am trying to install software that requires java. I have double check to see if i had installed the right version(jre or sdk) and i am postive it is there. Can you tell me whatthis means and how to fix it

here some text from my console:

No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
environment variable. You must install a VM prior to
running this program.

You need to find the file java and figure out where it is ... this command will find it:

find / -name java

After you find the file, you need make sure it is in the path ... jetblackz's link shows you how...
