Hi,
I used fips to leave all my data in a DOS partition (hda1(cylinder 1-1287)) of 10000MB and free some 6000MB space for linux partition(Red hat 6 fom CD which was provided with a linux book), then I used fdisk (linux) to create 3 new Partitions (hda2 to hda4) on the free space, but the Begin column for hda2 and hda3 on the partition table shows 1024. And when I run v to verify I get warning messages saying
Partition one overlaps partition 2 and 3. Also on the Device column of the table I have
/tmp/had1 , /tmp/hda2 and so on for all partitions shouldn’t that be /dev/hda1 and so on. I decided to quit whitout saving. My computer is Pentium 3 , IDE controller. Please Help.
Joey
Why dont you use Disk Druid in the RH installer to do the linux partitions?
