Full Version: User Can Not Shutdown The System
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
How can I make it so that a user can shutdown the system.

I type shutdown -h now and it says that you need to be root to do that. (kind of stupid since that same user can reboot the system)

Redhat 9.0
Try typing halt

Works on my rh9 install from my user account.
That will work, thank you
