Full Version: Login Password

Iíve currently just taken over a data center, and in the center is a Linux box acting as a firewall for the network. We have just changed all our external IPís and now I need to reconfigure the box for the current IPís.
** The problem is I do not have the login or the password for the Linux box, nor does anyone else. By the way Iím a newbiee to Linux so be easy on meÖ
As far as I know, the only way to get past a login screen without a user name is if the box has a guest account enabled, but that probably isn't so on a firewall box. If I were you I'd get ahold of who last used that computer and find it out. Otherwise you're going to have to either get rid of the linux installation, or somehow manage to hack shadow passwords. Best of luck,
