Hi all. I recently decided to install Mandrake 9.1 and ran into a few problems. I have 2 hard drives, a Maxtor 120 gb split into C and D partitions. On this drive, I have Windows XP installed on the C partition. I also have a 60 GB deskstar which I planned to install linux on. When I installed linux it automatically installed lilo without asking me, so i told it to go on the second hard drive. Well, it wrote lilo to that drive, but now my computer wont boot off of the first hard drive (containing XP). I have to use the bios to boot to the 2nd hd and tell lilo to boot windows. how can i get the computer to automatically boot to windows again?? (w/o reformatting)

Thanks a ton!
Joey
Pop in the XP installation cd, reboot the computer and choose the rescue/repair option. At the command prompt type:

fixmbr

This will remove lilo from the MBR and allow you to boot into XP.
